Cheryl Bookout has over twenty years of experience as a nonprofit consultant, arts administrator, grant writer and filmmaker. Bookout's grant writing has helped to secure over $2M in funding for nonprofit organizations and artistic visionaries. 

 

Bookout is a co-founder of The Chimaera Project and always a champion of women and non-binary filmmakers. Her short documentary film Inside the Beauty Bubble launched in the film festival circuit in early 2022 and is winning awards along the way. 

 

As an individual artist, she is included in the California Women Artist Project archived at the University of Southern California and Special Collections and University Archives, Rutgers University Libraries, a project organized by Gloria Orenstein, Professor of Women in Literature and Art at USC.
