An up and coming stand-up comedian (Jessica Watkins) stagnate in her job waiting tables, decides to walk across America. Painful memories come into focus as she tries to write new material, heal from her past and once again trust the kindness of strangers. 

Originally from East Nashville, Tennessee Jessica Watkins is a New York City based stand-up comedian, actress, and first time director. Watkins is a graduate of the The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. She starred and co-produced the feature film Bad Batch, wrote and hosted the web-series Let’s Take a Walk With Jessica Watkins and Tiki.

Jessica was featured at 2019 Bonnaroo Music Festival, Accidental Comedy Festival, Chicago’s Women’s Funny Festival, helped break the 2015 Guinness World Record for longest running continuous standup show (80 hours), toured for three weeks in Central America performing standup with Comedy Abroad raising money for local education. Most notably known for her 2014 walk across America, for over eight months Jessica pushed a cart from Lewes, DE to Oceanside, California. She filmed 300 hundred hours of footage while walking over 2000 miles, performing standup in a dozen states along the way. With funding from two successful crowd funding campaigns and backing from Glass House Productions Jessica produced, wrote and directed, along side editor Christine Simon the comedic documentary, SPECIALish. SPECIALish is currently in consideration for festivals around the country.
