Angie’s animated TV Pilot “High School High” made the Finals with the 2019 Sundance TV Program. Her supernatural TV Pilot, “Mystic Valley” won 1st Place with the Scriptapalooza TV Pilot Competition in 2009. Her rom com “The Way You Are” was awarded the Grand Jury Prize in Screening at the Hollywood Black Film Festival; her short comedy script “Over & Easy” made Finalist status with the Boston and DC Shorts Script Contest and her rom com “How to Date A Celebrity” made the Finals with the Cannes Feature Script Contest.

 

In 2009, Angie was awarded a spot with the AFI Directing Workshop for Women in 2009, where she wrote & directed her 5th short film-a teen angst comedy, entitled “Career Virgin.” In 2016, 2017 and 2018 she wrote a directed a short film a year.

 

Recently, Angie directed her 7th short film, “The Smartest Dumb Girl” starring standup comedians Zainab Johnson and Jenny Zigrino; which has screened at 10 film festivals so far.
